**Installation Tips:

Our Slip Posts are designed to go over a 4x4 and to have some extra room inside to allow for the pressure treated post to twist some (as typically can happen during drying out of the PT material) without putting pressure on the box (slip post). Typically they are installed by nailing some scraps of 2x4 (or 1x4) at the top and bottom of the 4x4 to position the post exactly where you want it. This way the placement of the structural 4x4 post doesn't have to be extremely accurate during the rough framing placement and the slip post can be leveled/moved. This way the rail system can be moved too the exact place that it is wanted on the deck (plus or minus about 2" of movement.)
